The prestigious Honoree at CES 2018 Innovation Awards received for the MAT (Magnetic Assisted Tap) docking station technology; ESB new integration projects and features for the end-user; and the partnership, as Connectivity System provider, with the e-bikes manufacturer Diavelo for creating the new bike-sharing system in Denmark are among the novelties SITAEL is presenting at Eurobike 2018.

The last edition of Eurobike marked a stunning interest in e-Mobility solutions as a common focus for both start-ups and the strongest players in the bike industry. It was already clear that electric vehicles were contributing at the creation of a renewed concept of the bicycle itself, and the figures of this year just confirm it.
ESB new features and projects
In this sort of revolution, the Connectivity System ESB, SITAEL’S IoT solution of e-bikes, finds a fertile ground for launching its new app GPS/GPRS-based features, such as the real reach, which indicates in real time the distances that the e-bike can cover in electric according to the remaining battery charge and to the motor assist level used during the riding. Moreover, an enhanced ticketing system, motor set-up, crash detection, and a new useful tutorial contribute to provide a fun and advanced riding experience to the end-user.
Furthermore, this year, for the first time, ESB has been launched in the market within the BULLS Connected e-Bikes and it will be soon integrated in the TwinCore Shimano & Brose project and in the SuperCore batteries working with Brose and running on a relevant number of e-bikes by the German leading bicycles manufacturer.

SITAEL awarded at CES 2018
Another e-Mobility solution designed by SITAEL and embedding ESB, the MAT (Magnetic Assisted Tap), has been named Honoree at the prestigious CES 2018 Innovation Awards, in the Vehicle Intelligence & Self-Driving Technology category.
MAT is the first e-bike deeply integrated docking station that connects the most used e-bike systems and smartphones wirelessly. With its magnetic technology, it provides total control of the vehicle in one single gesture, using the smartphone as both bike key and display.
MAT is also combined with a handlebar Remote Controller for safely manage assist levels and app screens, and a Smart Lock and Extender Cable that recognize the user App, disable the anti-theft and unlock the e-bike rear wheel.

New Copenhagen Bike-Sharing
With a strong experience of many years in electronics design and software development in different fields, SITAEL has proven to be the ideal partner for e-bikes Connectivity System Integration.
Indeed, Diavelo, the well-known and award-winning Danish electric bicycle brand, has chosen SITAEL as Connectivity System provider for integrating its connected e-Bikes4Delivery and developing together the important bike-sharing project for the new “Bikeshare Danmark”, that will be operative in 2019.
“It’s a great result for our team” says Matteo Pertosa, Head of Industrial & IoT Division “SITAEL’s vision to provide unique and innovative technology solutions for e-Mobility is proving that hard work and high-quality software design and electronics can transform future concepts into real options.”
